"Book clubs are booming," says John Shors. "They've never been more popular, or had greater influence upon the publishing industry. Book clubs connect readers, inspire scrutiny, and help determine what sells and what doesn't. Unfortunately, authors have generally done a poor job of participating in the clubs that make or break their careers. It's been a very one-sided relationship, with readers getting the short end of the stick."

In an effort to become an active participant in book clubs, to give back something to readers, Shors has made himself available to book clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada. Monday through Friday, from 7 to 11 p.m. EST, Shors is available to talk with book clubs. Book clubs should have 10 members and a speaker phone.

"I have already spoken with more than 100 book clubs all over the U.S. and Canada,” Shors says. “It’s always a fun experience, and I think book club members, as well as myself, walk away from these exchanges quite content.”
